Dr. Peter Nsubuga was the main facilitator for the Excellence in Reporting Science Workshop. Dr. Nsubuga is a medical epidemiologist for Global Public Health Solutions, located in Atlanta. He previously worked for Center of Disease Control (CDC) and the World Bank. He has experience writing public health projects and research for African countries, such as Uganda and Nigeria. Dr. Nsubaga has facilitated scientific writing and other public health training workshops in many African countries. He gave presentations on strategies for writing methods, results, discussion and introduction sections. Additionally, he thoroughly critiqued each participant’s work.
Miss Tsitsi Juru is a Scientific Writer and Assistant Field Coordinator for the Health Studies Office, University of Zimbabwe. She is a public health researcher with expertise in primary care, epidemiology, and medicine in Zimbabwe. She gave presentations on outlining a manuscript, and reasons for manuscript rejection. In addition, she attended all the presentations for each research paper section and provided constructive feedback. She was responsible for the organizing the worskshop.
