Zimbabwe Field Epidemiology Training Program Cohort 25 graduates

The 25th cohort of the Zimbabwe Field Epidemiology Training Program (2017-2018) graduated on the 20th of September 2019 at a colourful ceremony officiated by the Chancellor and president of Zimbabwe, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa. Graduates were drawn from nine faculties of the university of Zimbabwe with 3 132 graduating with Bachelor of Science Degrees, 760 with Master’s Degrees, 23 with Doctor of Philosophy and 12 with Masters of Philosophy. Amongst those who graduated were 11 FETP residents who graduated with a Masters Degree In Public Health, and these included 9 doctors, one laboratory scientist and one nurse. The graduation ceremony also witnessed the official installation of the 5th Vice Chancellor of the university, Proffessor Paul Mapfumo who said the university would take a leading role in national development.
